STAR credit and exemption savings amounts

Purely from a high level view, if your primary residence is in either the Franklin or Walton Central School Districts, and you currently receive the Enhanced STaR Exemption, you could obtain a higher benefit by switching to the Credit.

There are no STaR exemptions in the Unatego District within the Town of Franklin. Thus, if a property owner were to build a primary residence there in the future, they could not receive the exemption. So they would automatically be forced into the Credit, which is currently a higher savings.
